As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with inquiries and directions related to access procedures and site policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities or suspicious activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical or petrochemical environments.
Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations in daily logs and/or reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Follow all location-specific procedures related to security, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, such as evacuations or shelter-in-place procedures, in accordance with site policies.
