As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving position, offering the opportunity to engage with the campus community while upholding Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the educational location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to direct individuals as needed.
Collaborate with campus staff and local authorities as required to address incidents and support the well-being of the campus community.
Complete detailed and accurate incident and shift reports as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
