As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide customer service to shoppers and staff. You will complete routine rounds, communicate clearly with your team and site contacts, and document observations and activity. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff and shoppers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and fire or alarm activations.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, common areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and exterior perimeter as directed.
• Monitor access points, observe for unusual activity and/or policy violations, and help to reduce loss by reporting suspicious behavior and documenting observations.
• Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or local authorities when needed.
