As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government human services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and help reduce security-related incidents through routine rounds and attentive reporting. You will provide customer service, clear communication, and support to staff and visitors while documenting activity and responding to concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a government human services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or public agencies as needed.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, checking authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed patrol, incident, and shift activity reports, escalating significant concerns through the proper chain of command.
