As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations using a computer or tablet. You will assist employees and visitors with a calm, customer-focused approach while communicating clearly with site contacts. Requirements

  • Have 6+ months of security experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a tech, media and/or telecom location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, work areas, common spaces and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, visitor flow and delivery activity during patrols, verifying credentials when required and reporting irregularities through designated channels.
  • Complete detailed written reports and daily activity logs, including incident reports, patrol observations and maintenance concerns, and communicate updates to site leadership as needed.
