As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, verify badges and visitors, and support a smooth flow of people and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and access requests using computer-based systems. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
- Control entry and exit at designated doors and vehicle gates by verifying identification, maintaining visitor logs, issuing badges as directed, and directing guests to the appropriate location.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems to help identify unusual activity and promptly report concerns according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuation, medical, and fire response actions as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, warehouse spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help identify hazards, unsecured doors, and policy violations, and document findings in reports.
