As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor activity using computer-based tools while providing strong customer service. This is a driving post, supporting mobile patrols and quick response across the property. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Having access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at facility entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor and vendor sign-in, and directing guests to appropriate locations.
  • Screen and route inbound and outbound vehicle traffic at gates and docks by verifying appointments, reviewing shipping and receiving documentation, and maintaining access logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
