Requirements

Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at the retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff and/or patrons as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the location to observe for unusual or suspicious behavior.
Report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required during incidents.
Maintain a visible security-related presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activities.
Complete all required documentation and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
