As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a major utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. This position requires you to be armed while remaining highly visible and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related threats.
Monitor for unusual activity or security-related hazards and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
Maintain high visibility while on patrol to help to deter unwanted activity and/or security-related incidents.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, providing assistance and information as needed.
Remain alert to potential security-related hazards unique to utility environments and respond according to established procedures.
