As an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, staying visible to help to deter incidents and support smooth operations. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or License. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with company policy, licensing requirements, and local and/or state laws, using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques when possible.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter fencing, checking doors, gates, and key infrastructure for signs of unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, access control activities, incidents, and daily observations, and communicate information to supervisors and incoming officers during shift transitions.
