As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail or mall location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment and appropriate de-escalation techniques.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a welcoming environment for visitors.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
Work collaboratively with location management and/or law enforcement as needed, providing detailed incident reports and supporting investigations.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, adhering to all Allied Universal and client site policies and procedures.
