As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the property, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support guests and associates with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. At Allied Universal, you will be part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, exterior entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordinating with on-site leadership and/or local authorities as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for signs of theft, disorderly conduct, loitering, and/or policy violations; document observations and actions taken.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and customer interactions per site requirements.
