Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a busy food and beverage location, helping to maintain a welcoming environment through high-visibility rounds and timely response to security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements and an armed guard card or license. You will patrol assigned areas, document activity, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer service with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including warehouse areas, docks, parking lots, and perimeter fencing.
  • Carry a company-approved firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state and local laws, and post orders.
  • Control access to the location by checking identification, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Monitor receiving and shipping activity for unusual or unauthorized behavior and report concerns through the established chain of command.
  • Complete security-related reports such as incident reports, patrol logs, shift activity reports, and key control documentation with clear and timely information.
  • Use access control, CCTV, alarm panels, and/or two-way radios to support security-related operations and communicate with site personnel.
  • Perform vehicle and/or trailer checks as directed by post orders, including verifying seals, documenting entries and exits, and observing for signs of tampering.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and requests for assistance, coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Help to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access through high-visibility patrol presence, consistent patrol patterns, and prompt reporting.
  • Support business operations by providing directions, answering general questions, and interacting professionally with employees, drivers, and visitors.
