As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols of the campus to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This role involves both armed and driving responsibilities, allowing you to play a key part in maintaining a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to all individuals on the location.
Perform regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to assist students, staff, and visitors with security-related concerns and inquiries.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials of individuals entering designated areas.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents and/or drills.
Participate in ongoing training sessions to remain current on security-related procedures and emergency response protocols specific to educational environments.
