As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and team members with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and an armed post requiring Level III Armed Certification. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, tenants, and/or associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Carry and maintain authorized issued or approved firearm and related equipment in accordance with site requirements, licensing, and Allied Universal use of force and weapons handling policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or other unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and/or suspicious activity, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document security-related activity by preparing clear incident reports, logging patrols, and communicating observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
