As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol healthcare locations to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with staff and visitors to deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining a professional presence as an armed security team member.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disturbances.
Work closely with on-site staff and visitors to provide assistance and information as needed, maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols and site-specific requirements.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to medical emergencies, disturbances, or other urgent situations in accordance with healthcare facility procedures.
Maintain proper care, control, and awareness of assigned firearm and security equipment at all times while on duty.
