Join Allied Universal at an educational location as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and calm communication. You will complete routine patrols, document observations, and support staff, students, and visitors through courteous customer service. Requirements

• Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Have 1+ years' armed security/law enforcement/military experience.
• Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
• Have a corrections officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, parents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor entry processes, verify identification when required, and help maintain orderly movement through designated entrances and exits.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with school administrators and local first responders as needed.
• Maintain required armed post standards, including proper weapon retention and handling, completion of incident reports and daily activity logs, and participation in drills and post orders training.
