As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential community, you will manage access control by greeting residents and guests, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry points to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, supporting patrols and quick response across the property while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following site-specific, security-related procedures and access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry to the residential community by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor passes as directed, and maintaining access logs and reports.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other systems when assigned, and communicate security-related observations to onsite contacts and/or dispatch in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, documentation, and notifications per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, amenities, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
