As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting an access control post at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and visitor logs, and monitor entry points and cameras for security-related concerns. You will communicate clearly with onsite teams, report unusual activity, and help to deter incidents through a professional, visible presence. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges and/or keys per site policy, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing guests to designated check-in areas.
  • Screen and process employee, visitor, and delivery traffic at entry points, including coordinating with site contacts for authorizations, checking shipment paperwork, and documenting irregularities.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, report suspicious activity, and assist with incident documentation and notifications in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter, observing for policy violations, unsecured doors and/or gates, and conditions that may require reporting to site leadership.
