Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will support access control by verifying credentials, issuing and managing badges, and guiding visitors and drivers to the right checkpoints. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related concerns, and deliver professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at gates, guard shacks and/or building entrances by checking identification, verifying appointments, issuing visitor credentials and maintaining visitor and contractor logs per site policy.
  • Screen inbound and outbound traffic including employees, visitors, contractors and delivery drivers by confirming load paperwork, checking seals and/or tracking trailer and container movements as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site leadership, dispatch and/or local responders when needed and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or theft. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
