As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post in a retail distribution center, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. Your presence will help foster a secure environment for employees and visitors, while also providing outstanding customer service and clear communication in line with Allied Universal's people-first values.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
Verify credentials and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and deliveries as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activities according to company and client guidelines.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues within the retail distribution environment.
Assist in emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and communicating with relevant personnel.
