As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with clear communication, accurate reporting, and strong customer service while responding to incidents as needed. Requirements

• Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree.
• Have a Corrections Officer License.
• Have a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Control access by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, issuing badges when authorized, and directing visitors to appropriate departments.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site leadership and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns.
• Complete required documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs, and/or monitor cameras and alarms as assigned by post orders.
