As an Allied Universal Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage access control by checking credentials, issuing badges, and guiding patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and document activity using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific access policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Control entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, and directing authorized individuals to approved destinations.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and cameras as assigned, documenting unusual activity and reporting maintenance or operational concerns through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, waiting areas, and nearby perimeter areas as assigned to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
