You will conduct routine patrols, observe for unusual activity, support access control, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and fire and/or hazardous condition alarms, and communicate updates to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
- Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as required, managing visitor check-in and/or badging processes, and directing individuals to appropriate departments while maintaining privacy expectations.
- Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and unusual occurrences, and coordinate with local emergency responders and/or onsite teams as needed.
