As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will complete routine patrols, write clear reports, and communicate with tenants and site teams with a customer-first mindset. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and Allied Universal policies.
  • Monitor building entry points and control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and coordinating with property management for authorizations and/or escalations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications to onsite contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, lobbies, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of shift activity, access events, incidents, and requests for assistance, and communicate key updates during post handoff.
