About The Position

As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Rounds in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with staff and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience providing customer service is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and verifying the identification of individuals entering the location.
Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and client staff to help to maintain a secure environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
Follow all Allied Universal and client site protocols and procedures relevant to the financial institution environment.
