Job Description As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Rounds in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for clients and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related operations at the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with controlling access to the premises, verifying identification, and monitoring entry points as required by site-specific policies.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and site-specific concerns.
