Job Description As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Rounds in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for clients and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related operations at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with controlling access to the premises, verifying identification, and monitoring entry points as required by site-specific policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and site-specific concerns.
