About The Position

As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your role will include conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
Monitor for suspicious activity and/or potential threats within the financial institution environment, reporting any concerns according to established protocols.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials and observing entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Collaborate with team members, property staff, and local authorities as needed to address issues or incidents at the location.
