About The Position

As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to provide assistance and information when needed.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members to uphold site-specific expectations and security-related standards.
