As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a financial institution location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear and professional communication. Requirements

At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the financial institution.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents, documenting details as required by Allied Universal and the site policies.
Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or clients, providing assistance and information as needed.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to those on site.
