About The Position

As a Security Officer - Financial Front Desk Monitor in Tempe, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent financial institution, you will be the welcoming face for all visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include managing access, monitoring entry points, and delivering outstanding customer service in a professional environment. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and communication skills, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, employees, and/or clients in a professional manner at the front desk and assist with inquiries or directions as needed.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and logging visitors according to site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations at or near the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, employees, and/or emergency responders as needed during routine operations and emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of security-related activities and incidents as required by the client site.
  • Provide customer service by assisting with general questions and supporting the orderly flow of traffic in the lobby or entrance area.
