Job Description As a Security Officer - Federal Facility Rover in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government waterfront transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support orderly access points, observe and report concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Have a TSA issued TWIC.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patrons, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate timely updates to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and/or public agency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, walkways, docks, vessel access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials when required, assist with orderly queuing and passenger flow, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or operational concerns.
Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation, and support investigations by preserving observations and coordinating with public agency staff when requested.
