About The Position

As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and Allied Universal teammates. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer Service Experience is preferred.
CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor directions, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
Complete required security-related reports and logs such as incident reports, shift activity reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
