About The Position

As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol in New Gretna, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will complete routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor interactions. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site leaders and your Allied Universal team, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and integrity, delivering reliable service while putting people first.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter gates to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, damage, or suspicious conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, loading docks, and delivery traffic; verify identification and/or shipping documentation as required by post orders, and direct visitors to the proper check-in locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, medical calls, fire indications, and disturbances, and request assistance from Allied Universal supervision and/or local responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, patrol observations, and policy violations, and communicate timely updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
