Security Officer - Factory Patrol Full-Time
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Factory Patrol Full-Time in Bohemia, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe conditions, and report concerns with clear, professional communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and building perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify identification, deliveries, and visitor authorization in accordance with post orders, reporting concerns through the established chain of command.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local responders as needed.
- Complete timely reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident details, and shift handoffs, using written and/or electronic reporting tools.
