As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access points and visitor flow. You will document observations, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and communicate clearly with onsite teams while delivering customer-focused service backed by our agile, reliable, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, common areas, loading and receiving areas, stairwells, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and interior spaces using security-related systems and tools such as badge checkpoints, visitor logs, alarm panels, and/or video monitoring, following post orders and reporting irregularities.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate shift handoffs clearly, and coordinate with onsite personnel and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
