About The Position

As a Security Officer - Transportation Facility Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Private Investigator License for unarmed roles is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with supervisors and/or site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help to enforce entry procedures by verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or prohibited items according to site protocols.
  • Support daily operations by preparing incident and activity reports, communicating with local authorities and/or emergency personnel when needed, and assisting with crowd management during public-facing events or busy periods.
