Security Officer - Facility Walking Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Facility Walking Patrol in Purchase, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees and visitors, respond to situations with clear communication, and document observations with attention to detail. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating promptly with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including offices, lobbies, stairwells, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing guests, and reporting irregular activity per post orders.
- Complete shift logs and incident reports, document patrol observations, and promptly report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations through approved channels.
