About The Position

As a Security Officer - Facility Rounds in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to issues with clear communication, thorough reporting, and customer service that supports the public and staff. Working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will bring integrity and a people-first mindset to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have security-related experience of 1+ years.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders, and/or supporting emergency response activities when needed.
  • Monitor access points, check identification and/or credentials as required, manage visitor entry, and help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited items, and disruptive behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, documenting actions taken, and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter checks, to identify irregular conditions, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs, communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and coordinate with local first responders when requested.
