Security Officer - Facility Patrol

Job Description As a Security Officer - Facility Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, provide visible presence, and offer outstanding customer service and communication, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, agility, and a people-first approach.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A valid guard card or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel and/or management.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying identification as required by site policies.
- Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations to help to maintain order within the healthcare location.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or emergency responders as needed during routine operations and unexpected incidents.
