About The Position
As a Security Officer - F/T Access Control in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting security-related operations at the location.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by checking credentials, verifying visitor information, issuing visitor badges, and/or maintaining accurate access records.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including directing foot traffic, assisting with post orders, and reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, access concerns, and other security-related issues.
