About The Position

Security Officer - Executive Protection Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a variety of security responsibilities to protect patients, visitors, caregivers, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, hazardous materials, and illegal entry. Enforces Providence St Joseph Health, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PSJH caregivers, visitors, and property; responds and assists in restraining disruptive/combative individuals; detains individuals when necessary; provides protective services to high risk areas; and performs reception services. May be required to support any Providence St Joseph Health or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area. Requirements

  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • 1 year Law Enforcement/Security/Military experience or two years of responsible work experience and prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Related college course work may substitute for one year of experience.
