Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist with badging and visitor flow, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Control access by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor sign-in, and directing guests and deliveries to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or local public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, radios, and/or video surveillance systems as assigned, and complete incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation.
