As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and communications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, report concerns, and support access and visitor awareness while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas, noting unusual conditions and helping to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and direct employees, contractors, and guests according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordinating with site contacts and/or public services when needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate key information during shift transitions.
