As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot patrols of common areas, corridors, and exterior spaces, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and service requests, document observations, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and site staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control, and other security-related duties, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor and report unusual activity, property conditions, and maintenance concerns observed during patrols, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, gathering information, and completing required notifications.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, using clear and accurate details to support follow-up and continuity.
