As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe activity, document findings, and communicate clearly while delivering a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity that may help to deter policy violations.
  • Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials per site policy, maintaining sign-in logs, and directing vendors and deliveries to authorized areas.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate shift activity to the next officer and/or site management, and report maintenance concerns such as broken doors, gates, lights, and/or cameras.
