About The Position

As a Security Officer - Evening Patrol Officer in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, lobbies, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow by verifying identification, logging entries and/or deliveries, issuing temporary badges, and directing guests according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel, documenting actions taken, and supporting post-incident follow up.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and complete daily activity reports and incident reports using required tools and/or systems.
