As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or hazards, reporting concerns per site protocol.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in and/or badge processes, and directing individuals to appropriate locations within the facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed, and documenting actions taken.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other security-related systems as assigned, complete routine activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
