Job Description As a Security Officer - Exterior Patrol Rounds in Sherman Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist tenants and visitors with a customer-service mindset, communicate clearly with your team, and document observations. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe onsite activity, reporting suspicious or unusual conditions according to post orders and escalation procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance and coordination with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, including patrol findings, access control observations, and follow-up actions.
