As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, report concerns, and communicate clearly while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Hospital: Vaccines available.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, lobbies, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, alarms, and requests for assistance from staff and/or visitors.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, assisting with visitor and vendor check-in, verifying credentials when required, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and patrol observations in reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
